Utility Coverall
I have always loved a classic utility suit. They’re versatile in design, never go out of style, a good one is comfortable and moveable, and they are timeless in use and looks. I wanted to create a basic, easy to sew utility suit pattern that would be doable for any sewist and one that could serve as a style staple or even a base for something more creative. Pockets were an absolute must and I had to make sure my kids could move and play easily in it. Thus the Utility Coverall was born. Available in sizes 0-3 months to 9/10.
Fit & Length
Relaxed, roomy fit throughout the body
- Long sleeve option extends to wrists
- Short sleeve option hits above the elbow
- Full-length pant option reaches ankles
- Shorts option ends just above the knee
- Dress option hits above the knee
Features
- Front zipper extends from neckline to crotch for easy dressing, including zipper guard to avoid irritation against your little one’s skin
- Snap placket option for infant sizes
- Option to add an elastic waistband for a cinched fit around the waist
- 2 large patch pockets on the front, positioned at hip level
- camp collar that is simple and easy to put together

Sizes & Fabric Quantity:
NB – 12M : 1 1/2 yards / 1.5 meters
18M – 4T : 2 1/4 yards / 2.25 meters
4T – 3 1/4 yards / 3.25 meters
Materials:
- Medium weight woven fabric such as twill or canvas.
- Main zipper (length varies by size)
- Lightweight interfacing for collar
- Optional: Elastic: 0.75″ for 0-3m – 24m and 1″ for 2t – 9/10
